What our clients are saying

I couldn’t believe it. The last time I filed a claim was after a faulty pipe caused water damage — the insurance company asked me to file three times and in the end, all I got was a higher premium. I’ve been recommending your company to all my traveling friends.

Charles M., Trip Interruption Reimbursement

Got me home when it counted despite the complexity of my particular medical issue. My wife puts it well: made us feel like we were part of a special operation.

Craig L., Evacuee

We thought we were going to die. $372. The best investment I ever made.

Jerry R., Everest Evacuee

Were it not for you guys, that bag would never have arrived. It would be sitting at the airport in Iceland.

Joe V., Lost Baggage

Our operations team was thoroughly impressed with the level of service, the level of knowledge and how ‘switched on’ your personnel have been throughout the process. This was one of the most extreme evacuation scenarios one could come across in the locations we visit and your team handled it flawlessly.

Cavalry – Frequently Asked Questions

What types of trips is Cavalry best suited for?

Cavalry is ideal for discerning travelers who value comfort, exclusivity, and seamless protection. Whether enjoying a private villa, a river cruise, or an extensive European tour, Cavalry’s premium insurance caters to high-end journeys, offering extensive coverage for trip cancellations, medical evacuations, and unforeseen disruptions. It’s particularly suited for travelers who prioritize top-tier support and coverage.

How does Cavalry's coverage differ from standard travel insurance policies?

Cavalry stands out from standard travel insurance by offering luxury-focused features like premium medical evacuation to the hospital of choice, a high coverage limit for secondary medical expenses, and a waiver for pre-existing conditions (if purchased within the required timeframe). Additionally, it includes 24/7 travel assistance, pandemic coverage, and a travel inconvenience benefit.

What are some of the covered reasons for trip cancellation and interruption?

Cavalry covers a range of unexpected events that could impact a trip, including medical issues such as sickness, injury, or complications from pregnancy, as well as mandatory evacuations, strikes, or severe weather that make travel unsafe or accommodations uninhabitable. Additionally, it includes protection for financial defaults by travel suppliers, personal emergencies like a death in the family, legal obligations such as jury duty, and quarantine requirements related to contagious diseases.

Can I be evacuated to my home hospital of choice, or are there restrictions?

Yes, Cavalry’s policy allows for evacuation to a home hospital of choice within the United States, but there are some restrictions. Medical evacuation to the home hospital of choice is only provided if it is deemed medically necessary and is pre-approved by both the attending physician and the designated Travel Assistance Services Provider. Otherwise, the policy typically arranges evacuation to the nearest appropriate facility capable of providing the necessary care

Are pre-existing medical conditions covered under this plan?

The Cavalry plan offers coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, but only if the policy was purchased within the Time Sensitive Period and the insured meets other requirements, such as being medically able to travel at the time of purchase. Coverage for pre-existing conditions applies only if no changes to

What does the travel inconvenience benefit cover, and how does it work?

The travel inconvenience benefit covers several unforeseen disruptions that may impact a trip, including closed attractions, work obligations due to travel delays, flight cancellations, hotel infestations, and rental property lockouts. This benefit provides compensation for these specific inconveniences, up to the maximum limit outlined in the Schedule of Benefits, allowing travelers to recover costs associated with these disruptions.
